Senior Director IT Infrastructure Development Position Description:
The Senior Director Infrastructure Development is a highly responsible position that reports to the IT Vice President and is in front of leadership, key stakeholders, and physicians. As UMMS moves forward with integrating new hospitals, the Senior Director will be key to the success by involving the leadership at these facilities. This Senior Director is also responsible for licensing of contracts and leads a large portfolio of projects, overseeing approximately 100 staff members and contractors. Responsibilities:
  • Implement the enterprise architecture
  • Develop and maintain the organization's computing/IT environment
  • May oversee any or all of the following functions:

-Operating Systems Programming

-Technical Support

-Systems Integration

-Data/Voice Networks

-Packaged Product Evaluation

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Healthcare information technology experience
  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in information systems development and implementation
  • Eight or more years of management experience with demonstrated leadership ability overseeing technical teams
  • High level of proficiency and demonstrated effectiveness in problem-solving and implementing new processes related to increased departmental and organizational operating efficiency
  • Work experience within a large environment
  • A strong understanding of budgets, both capital and operating
  • Ability to develop a Total Cost of Ownership model

  • Understanding of infrastructure licensing
