Organization Overview
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is a nationally recognized, 187-bed not-for-profit children’s hospital serving as the primary teaching hospital for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine department of pediatrics. As the Primary Care Center for the Hartford region, Connecticut Children's Medical Center serves as "the doctor's office" for nearly 15,000 children. It is the largest pediatric primary care service for children between Boston and New York. Pediatricians provide primary care services such as well-child checkups and immunizations, and care for minor illnesses. Connecticut Children’s is the only independent pediatric facility in Connecticut. There are plans to possibly expand geographically (New York and Massachusetts).
Position Highlights
The Director, Information Technology Security serves as the process owner for all information security activities. This individual is responsible for developing the policies and procedures that addresses the strategies used to access and protect confidential patient, employee and business information. Will also be responsible for developing the security monitoring plan to ensure organizational compliance with federal and state requirements. Position will be a member of the IT Governance Board. The director will also be responsible for website security.
