Tampa General Hospital has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for their Director of Analytics position.
Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is one of the largest hospitals in Florida and the region’s first and largest teaching hospital. TGH is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in Florida, serving a dozen counties with a population in excess of four million. TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just three burn centers in Florida. The hospital is home to one of the leading organ transplant centers in the country having performed more than 10,000 adult solid organ transplants, including the state’s first successful heart transplant in 1985. TGH is also a nationally certified
comprehensive stroke center.

Director of Analytics Position Overview:
Tampa General has the vision of being the most innovative and the safest healthcare facility in the country. To meet that goal, the CEO is investing in people and technology, and in his year and a half with the organization has visited every department and every shift to build relationships and share his vision. The organization is excited about embarking on this journey, and this key position will be the face of the analytics team for TGH.
The Director of Analytics is responsible for the enterprise-wide data and information governance, data strategy and operations of the analytics team. This is a key leadership position responsible for developing the strategic vision and overseeing organizational analytic services, analytics resources, and data warehouse infrastructure. The analytics team is composed of a highly skilled team of 14 which includes one data scientist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years experience working in healthcare analytics
- 5+ years experience leading analytics teams
- Epic experience preferred
- Peoplesoft experience preferred
