Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for their Senior Director, Chief Technology Officer position.
Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) is the region’s pediatric medical center serving San Diego, Imperial and southern Riverside counties. It is a nonprofit, 524-bed pediatric- care facility dedicated to excellence in care, research and teaching.
RCHSD is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center.
Senior Director, Chief Technology Officer Position Overview:
Rady Children’s current CTO is retiring, creating a vacancy in this key leadership role. The new CTO will continue partnering with executive leadership, physician leaders, and clinicians throughout the organization who are striving to provide the best possible care for their patients.
The current CTO says it is a “green field” of opportunity, with many projects, such as deploying VNA and HCI, as well as continuing with HPC for a leader to make a difference in the organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in field related to the position
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience
- Experience managing teams of 40+ people
- Experience leading a complex, 24×7, mission critical IT
- Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Evidence negotiating, developing and sustaining collaborative
internal and external partner relationships
- Graduate degree
