It is home to Huntington Tri-State Airport (HTS), which offers daily flights to major hubs such as Charlotte and Orlando, and is within a few hours’ drive of larger cities including Columbus, Lexington, and Cincinnati. Marshall University, one of the region’s largest employers, anchors the city and contributes a strong academic and cultural presence.

An affordable, livable city

The Paul Ambrose Trail for Health connects much of the city with 18 miles of walking and biking trails.
