UConn Health has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for candidates for their CIO.

UConn Health is Connecticut’s public academic center producing breakthroughs that advance medicine and patient care, educating the state’s next generation of doctors, dentists, and scientists and leading bioscience innovation and economic growth.

UConn Health is home to the University of Connecticut schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine and Biomedical Science of the Graduate School. UConn Health includes John Dempsey Hospital, School of Medicine’s faculty practice, as well as primary, specialty, and dental care facilities at the main campus in Farmington and across the state.

UConn Health is also a thriving research enterprise and home to up to 40 start-up companies.

UConn Health physicians and caregivers are leaders in their fields, including emerging areas of personalized medicine, and many have received national and international acclaim.

Working to bolster the governor’s vision to reinvent the Connecticut economy by harnessing the impressive research resources across the state, UConn Health’s original research laboratories have been renovated and a new Technology Incubation Program facility has been constructed to include space for start-up bioscience and biotech businesses as part of a recent, nearly $1 billion “Bioscience Connecticut” investment in UConn Health.

Among other things, Bioscience Connecticut has brought about new collaborations between the state, UConn, UConn Health, Yale University, and the prestigious Jackson Laboratory, and has enabled UConn Health to assume a position of global leadership in biomedical sciences.
