The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for candidates for their Associate Vice President, Information Technology.

Associate Vice President, Information Technology Position Overview
With an innovative new CIO in place, UHealth is in the process of expanding its technical capabilities, the IT team size, and continually optimizing their use of the Epic electronic health record. With a highly collaborative culture, relationship building across functional areas is encouraged to move projects forwards and ensure the highest quality of clinical care.
The Associate Vice President, Information Technology is a new position for the University of Miami and will provide a rare opportunity for the right candidate to establish an inaugural business application department at a $4B health system.
The Associate Vice President, Information Technology will build his or her own team and help set the IT strategy and vision for the future. This position will report directly to the CIO.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree in relevant field required.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Workday, time and attendance, budgeting and planning tools.
- Experience in building a department and migration to new apps.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
- Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
- Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise.
