Position Overview

The Vice President, Chief Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDA & AIO), will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s data-driven strategy, fostering innovation, and driving growth through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (Al).

This position reports to the SVP & Chief Digital and Information Officer and is an incredible opportunity to join an organization that views data as a key strategic asset.  Orlando Health views the ability to harness data as a differentiator in a very competitive market. There is strong leadership support from the CEO and CFO for moving the organization higher on the “analytics maturity curve.”

The CDA & AIO will lead a team of around 60 experts, collaborating closely with other C-suite executives and key internal IT stakeholders.

They will design, develop, implement, or configure data and Al solutions for stakeholders across the Orlando Health enterprise, including:

  • IT /CE strategists
  • Digital & IT innovations
  • Clinical and enterprise products
  • IT Infrastructure
  • Security
  • Informatics
  • Cross-functional data analytics

The CDA & AIO will also collaborate with external partners to harness the power of data and AI.  They will develop insights leading to products or solutions that will differentiate Orlando Health and improve the patient experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and communicating a compelling data vision that aligns with Orlando Health’s growth strategy
  • Advocating for data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Leading the consolidation of an enterprise-wide data and analytics center of excellence (CoE)
  • Strategizing with C-level colleagues, external partners, and vendors to enhance data capabilities
  • Championing efforts to continuously improve the organization’s data quality and data literacy maturity level
  • Leading the organization’s Al adoption efforts; identify opportunities for Al-driven innovation across business functions
  • Developing guidelines for responsible Al usage, addressing ethical considerations, bias, and transparency
  • Collaborating with technology leaders and teams to implement Al solutions that enhance decision-making and automate, augment, or optimize processes
  • Leading research, strategy creation, and development of new data products and services to align with Orlando Health’s strategic imperatives to drive industry-leading patient outcomes, expand markets, and grow company revenue
  • Defining key performance indicators related to data quality, analytics effectiveness, and Al impact
  • Providing regular updates to the executive team on data initiatives, analytics projects, and Al initiatives and outcomes across all domains

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science or information systems, business, or a related field required
  • Advanced degrees preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years of functional business experience
  • 5+ years leading the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects
  • Proven track record in data and analytics leadership roles
  • Experience with Al and machine learning technologies
  • Familiarity with industry-specific data challenges (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail)
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the evolving environment of healthcare
  • Knowledge of tools and methods for teaching best practices and performance improvement
