Senior Director of Enterprise Applications Position Overview

The Senior Director of Enterprise Applications (SDEA) is a newly created position for SIH. The SDEA will report to the CIO and oversee four direct reports (the total team size is 50). This key leadership position will bridge the gap between the CIO and the manager level, adding accountability, improving productivity, and providing mentoring.

The SDEA will:

  • Plan and manage large-scale implementation projects
  • Develop and promote standardization
  • Anticipate the needs of the organization
  • Partner with leadership to deliver high-value IT solutions
  • Align/exceed organization objectives
  • Build and sustain professional relationships at all levels of the organization

Initial projects include these high-visibility initiatives:

  • Assisting with the transition and implementation of Epic into a newly acquired hospital
  • Application optimization and Epic updates
  • Workday implementation (June 2024)
  • Transition to Epic Hyperdrive (2024)
  • Potential implementation of Salesforce into the call center

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of healthcare/business operations experience
  • 10+ years of information technology solutions experience
  • 5+ years of complex project leadership and/or supervisory experience
  • Verifiable Application Team and Project Management training or competency
  • Extensive experience mentoring and developing future leaders

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in appropriate discipline with significant systems, project management, and leadership training
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems or equivalent
